Professional
Experience:
I
received my Doctorate of Psychology from the
Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology in
1987. After graduating I worked for a large
multi-specialty medical group practice in Springfield
and Chicopee, Massachusetts for over seventeen years.
For eight of those years I was the Senior
Psychologist. As Senior Psychologist I oversaw a
psychology department of five psychologists,
coordinated all psychological assessments, and ran a
multi-disciplinary Child and Family Treatment team.
In 2001 I
started a private practice with offices in Northampton
and West Springfield, Massachusetts. Since 2002 I have
been on the faculty of Antioch New England, Clinical
Psychology Doctoral Program, where I teach
Professional Seminars, Case Conceptualization, Group
Therapy, Clinical Interviewing and Positive
Psychology.
Currently
I am retired from my private practice and my teaching
position at Antioch New England.
Psychotherapy
Orientation
I would
describe my orientation to treatment as eclectic. This
means I draw on a variety of psychological approaches
including, but not limited to: psychodynamic,
cognitive behavioral treatment, family systems,
narrative therapy, and client-centered therapy.
